Hoti for tapping natural resources to fight poverty

CM Hoti talking to South Korean Ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Shin Un, who called on him at CM House Peshawar

Chief minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that there were huge potentials in various fields and sufficient natural resources in the province which could be utilized for elimination of poverty and backwardness.

“It is the time that the international community and friendly countries should come forward and help the government bring under best utilization these resources,” Hoti said while talking to South Korean ambassador to Pakistan Mr. Shin Un, who called on him at Peshawar.

During their meeting, various issues including the government efforts for peace and stability in the insurgency hit areas of the province, developmental strategies and opportunities for the investors in various fields were discussed.

CM Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that they will no more allow the Pakhtun nation to be used as fuel for the imposed war as it had caused irreparable losses to the Pakhtun nation.

This he said while addressing a mammoth public meeting in Lachi, Kohat after inaugurating gas supply scheme to the Lachi town on Thursday. The project would complete with a cost of Rs37 million.

Provincial president of the Awami National Party (ANP) Afrasiab Khattak, MPA Dr Iqbal Fanah, MD SNGPL Abdur Rasheed Loan and other officials of the SNGPL were present on the occasion.

Swabi: Party's Women leaders and other members said that ANP is on verge of materializing Baacha Khan's dream of the Provincial autonomy after succeeding to drop the idea of Kalabagh dam and renaming of NWFP as Pukhtunkhawa by the Federal Government in the constitutional package.

This was declared in a meeting, which was presided over by the District president of the Women Wing and MPA Dr. Yasmeen Jasmin here Wednesday.

Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa Ameer Haider Khan Hoti on Wednesday appealed to the international community to help his government revive and strengthen various social sectors of the province.

“Our government is giving top priority to the development and promotion of social sectors include education, health, agriculture and urban development for which the international community should extend more and more support,” the chief minister told Austrian High Commissioner to Pakistan Ms. Zorica Mc Cathy, who called on him at his office on Wednesday.

Chief Minister of Pakhtunkhwa, Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has welcomed the PPP leadership for the proposed constitutional package, saying it would usher in new era of democracy and would strengthen the democratic institutions.

The chief minister also praised federal minister for water and power for discarding the controversial scheme of Kala Bagh Dam (KBD) and described it a historic decision and a reflection of national harmony
