By Sher Alam Shinwari PESHAWAR: Speakers presented various particle steps for the propagation and promotion of Pashto language at an open debate held at Bacha Khan Markaz under the auspices of Bacha Khan Research Centre (BRC) with Zaland Momand in the chair. They were of the view that political leaders in the power in the past did not heed towards problems being faced by the Pashto language due to which it suffered a lot despite the fact that it was the language of majority in the province. They said it was hour of the need for the ANP -led coalition government to take concrete steps for the improvement of Pashto language and literature adding that unless there was official patronage, no improvement was possible. |

Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said that his working relationship with the provincial governor was significant, adding the coalition cabinet was working with mutual understanding. “PPPP is an important ally of the ANP and it is not possible to keep it inactive,” Hoti said during his separate interviews with renowned anylist Naseem Zuhra and a representative of a private TV channel. |

CHITRAL: Chief Minister Ameer Haider Khan Hoti has said Chitral had rich potential for tourism but what it lacks was the basic infrastructure.
Haider Khan Hoti was speaking on the last day of famous Shandur festival. The three-day Shandur festival ended here Wednesday at the world’s highest polo ground and the Chitral team won the polo tournament for the third consecutive year, defeating archrival Gilgit in a thrilling encounter. |

Pakhtunkhwa’s chief minister Ameer Haider Khan has said that the war in province and its adjacent tribal belt was meant for the country’s survival for which the federal government and other provinces will have to support his government. “Through a comprehensive policy, we have to jointly work for securing a lasting peace in the region,” Hoti told a private TV channel during in interview on Tuesday. The chief minister ruled out any threat to the provincial capital, saying no one should worry about it. |

Awami National Party announced to revive Nanglalay Pakhtun wing of volunteers under the name of ‘Peace and Defence Committee’ to cope with the deteriorating law and order situation in Pakhtunkhwa and Federally Administered Tribal Areas.
Decision to this effect was taken during a meeting of the special committee of the party held under the chairmanship of Central President Asfandyar Wali Khan. Chief Minister Ameer Haider Hoti, ANP Provincial President Afrasiyab Khattak and Commander Khudaidad, President of Balochistan chapter also attended the meeting. |
